Central Device Management: Critical Component of Mobility Adoption
In today's highly regulated, fast-paced and tumultuous financial services industry, employees at all levels need to access critical information on the go. As a result, mobile devices are becoming ubiquitous. While laptops with remote access to information were once the norm, financial services executives increasingly want to have data readily available without accessing a computer. Thus, the adoption of mobile devices that provide quick access to the Internet, e-mail and line-of-business applications is becoming a critical aspect of any firm's IT strategy.
But despite their growing popularity, managing handheld devices and their applications, as well as securing the data on the devices, has become an increasingly difficult task, which has pushed central device management to the top of the chief information officer's mobile priority list.
